So I just finished up my trip down the rabbit hole the tell all story of Holly Madison former Playboy bunny and boyfriend to the infamous playboy himself Hugh Hefner. A title Holly Madison would love to gladly retire but is not unwilling to cash in on and why not! Looking back on what I remember of the poplar TV series The Girls Next Store I remember thinking none of the women on the show looked to particularly happy and that they seem to be going through the motions. The real question on my mind and I assume a lot of people’s minds “do they actually have to fuck that guy”? I mean he’s Hugh Hefner but like Holly mentions a few times he is old enough to be their Grand Father. Hugh is painted as that of a “Playboy”, a white Cosby on steroids offering a glimmer of fame, quaaludes and security to entrap his victims. Not surprising as to me the term “Playboy” has been a sort of euphemism for a “charming fucking sleaze ball”! The story starts with Miss Holly Madison sitting in the bath contemplating suicide and your trip down the hole of psychological abuse and entrapment begins. There are really no surprises here to me after the question of the sexual involvement and participation is answered. However, it is a very important book in terms of the countless victims of abusive relationships and not a bad read either! As the title suggest Holly likings her story to that of Alice’s wonderful trip as excerpts from “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” ~ Lewis Carol are quoted before every chapter. Holly Madison is a smart business woman with a story and the aptitude to tell it, a must read for those in questionable relationships and very interesting read for all others!
