Shots Certified: the First
Welcome to a new series here at ShotsWeekly.com “the Shot of the Week”. Through the Shot of the Week we will explore a shot or series of shots from behind the scenes or from the news abroad giving us a better glimpse into the world of urban glamour.
This weeks series of shots is from my first (@shotbyjason) glamour studio shoot. A fraternity brother and fellow photographer Tony Armstrong got us this studio space. These specific three shots were the start of my love for glamour. To me they looked “real”, like they could be in a magazine and they were actually feature on the Urban Aperture. Using the elements of the rule of thirds, and light & shadow they came alive.
In the first shot above, the model Nelle was the designer that had made her swim suit. Below in red Miss Quawna was my very first muse. The woman in the last shot was a friend of one of the models onset that we coax in to shooting because of her great body but she didn’t want her face to show. So, I adjusted the light and put a hat on her to shield her face. Please enjoy my first real shots into the world of Glamour.
