Name: Edith “High Sadity” Walters
Sign: Virgo
Dimensions: 34 – 28 – 38
Occupation: Customer Service Representative & Student
Hometown: Bronx, New York
Bio: This fearless, young beauty is crushing all obstacles in her way! She’s determined to leave her mark on the modeling industry by doing things on her own terms. It seems impossible, but somehow she finds the time to stay this gorgeous… despite working full-time and studying to become a teacher.
Why did you get into the industry?
Actually it wasn’t on purpose, a friend of mine asked for help with his photography. I found that I really enjoyed modeling and continued working with him for a while. Eventually, I began to reach out to other photographers and exploring different aspects of modeling.
What was your first gig or experience in the industry?
I was a Penthouse photo shoot for Sweets Magazine. There were so many girls, in all shapes and sizes. I remember being very nervous, and not really sure why I was there… but I knew I wanted to make sure I left my mark and be memorable…. even if it was just that day.
Where do you see yourself in a few years?
Definitely a college graduate! As far as modeling I want to add more publication work. I have also taken a liking to photography. Ideally, I want to learn as much as I can from others in the industry that have taken beautiful photographs of myself and others.
So do you see yourself as being a photographer or a model?
Hopefully, I can do both if I’m still pleasing to the eye. I’m sure I’ll always enjoy modeling, but I’d also like to help bring women who don’t feel they stand out much to the forefront… helping them to see that they are as sexy as they want to be.
What do you like about the industry?
That sometimes, you can be someone that you’re normally not. A lot of women feel sexy on the inside, but have a hard time bringing that out. Well, this industry showcases women that know how to turn things on and be that vixen. Every women has it inside her, sometimes we just need a little reminder.
What don’t you like about the industry?
You can lose yourself if you’re not strong-willed, or you don’t know how to hold on to your morals… the things that make you, you. I see people forget who they are and get caught up in what other people think.
Don’t give up if it’s something that you truly want, but never lose yourself in going after it.
What advice would you give to a young or up and coming model?
Do not accept defeat, no matter how many people tell you “no” or that you don’t fit in. Keep trying and keep pushing yourself to be better. Eventually, there will be someone that likes your style and sexiness.
What would you ask a more experienced model?
I know that when we all start it’s a grind, but once you hit a certain level, what is the best way to branch off and become a successful entrepreneur from modeling? What steps did you take or wish you had taken along the way?
Who is your fave model? #WCW?
I love Melissa Ford. Growing up looking at her natural beauty inspired me. Plus, she is one of the few video vixen’s that became a successful business woman. She really paved the way for all of us. Always breathtaking! She’s so amazing.
Have you been published? if so, when/where?
add list from email
What major bookings have you done?
I haven’t really been booked for anything big yet, but I’m definitely trying to get into fashion. I always wanted to be a runway model.
You’re photos look amazing, what’s you’re secret?
Getting in that mirror and working on facial expression! For your figure, there’s nothing better than getting in the gym and eating right.
How do you feel you’re empowering yourself and others?
I want others to know that no matter how different you are, or what other people tell you beauty is, or isn’t… we all have beauty inside. Don’t listen to noise and bullshit, be true to yourself.
It’s really all about how you choose to handle yourself.
How do you overcome being objectified as a women?
Don’t let the negativity of the industry be a reflection on all of us. It’s all about what we choose to make of it, the good and the bad. We all have to choose how much to give and receive and how much we’re okay putting ourselves out there.
Any interesting you’d like to share with us and your fans?
Please be patient with me, there’s a lot more in store. This is definitely just the beginning!
