MARCH: Hello Kitty Rae White
Name: Kitty Rae White
Measurements: 36DDD– 31 – 49
Occupation: Hostess / Model
Hometown: Brooklyn, NY
Why did you get into the industry?
I’ve always been aware and obsessed with the powers, good and bad, of beauty. I believe I am a work of art and I want to showcase it and inspire other women to embrace and showcase their beauty as they please.
What was your first gig or experience in the industry?
My first experience and life lesson was being at a photoshoot and sitting around waiting with a vixen that I had looked up to. I imagined she would be this diva and stuck up woman. She wasn’t what I expected at all. She was the most pleasant and humble person ever. I believe that’s what got her as far as she did. It’s so easy to become bigheaded and nasty in this industry. However, personality and being humble is what will draw people to want to work with you.
Where do you see yourself in the next few years?
I’m going to be a black female business owner.
What do you like about the industry?
There are so many opportunities to build and create a brand and earn revenue if you use it the right way.
What don’t you like about the industry?
It saddens me that there is still separation between light and dark skin and “foreign” and “american” models. There is constant favoritism and its shows in our hip hop videos and our publications.
What advice would you give an up and coming model that you wish someone gave you?
Stay true to yourself and never compromise your values for the fame. Some things aren’t worth giving up.
What advice would you ask a more experienced model?
What’s the best way to be successful in this industry without selling your soul?
Who is your fave model or #WCW?
Deelishis with her fine ass. LOL
Have you been published? If so, when and where?
Sweets Feds Magazine
Your photos look amazing, what’s your secret?
Key is being comfortable with yourself. I nourish my mind first and then soul and body.
How do you feel you’re empowering yourself and others?
MY WORK ETHIC! More now than ever I’ve been trying to be consistent and my results empower me. Being a woman and model is the urban industry is challenging.
What keeps me going is the idea that I give myself to the world knowing that at any time I can be rejected. That doesn’t stop me.
I still have that desire to showcase and allow the world to critique me. I believe that alone helps empower other people. You have to have tuff skin here.
Do you feel this industry objectifies women?
Of course, but so does every other male driven industry. It comes with the territory. You learn to get past it and get to WORK!
Any interesting you’d like to share with us and your fans?
I truly want to just thank my kittens and let them know how much I appreciate them. Also, Thanks to Jason for making the magic happen ❤️.
