Bio: Denise Katrina Matthews (born January 4, 1959), was better known as Vanity. This Canadian-born former singer, songwriter, dancer, actress, and model career peaked from the 1980s until the early mid-90s. She was the lead singer of the female trio Vanity 6 assembled by Prince, and recorded the 1982 famous R&B hit “Nasty Girl”. She also starred in a number of movies, including The Last Dragon, which featured her underground hit “7th Heaven” ; Action Jackson were she starred a long side Carl Weathers and other movies like Never Too Young to Die with John Stamos.
Sadly her drug use led to her failing kidney problems and on February 15, 2016 she passed from renal failure, at the age of 57.
